I'm very curious about how you prepare these. I have limited time for lunches, either in the morning or the night before. do you whip up a huge batch of rice on the weekend and keep it in the fridge? what about the stir fry veggies and things? do you make everything the night before?
It usually takes me 20-30 minutes in the morning. I drop the rice in the ricemaker when I wake up, then after I am done getting ready, I make the bento. Microwaving rice you made earlier in the week works fine too. The stirfries I do in the morning - they take only a few minutes if I have the veggies pre-cut (plus I use a store-bought sauce).
ooh, that IS really pretty. and I don't think it's terrible at all. it's a fun and beautiful "hobby" you've got that gets you in the kitchen, experimenting and learning!
also, what's on the shumai, peas? (tee hee, I accidentally spelled it "pees") I love the little details you put into your meals.
Thank you! And my panda cakes are made by I MEI and come in packages of 3. I find them in the bakery section (but refrigerated) of my H Mart (Hanahreum).
i'm so excited! and last night i bought some cookin' stuff...i can't wait to get started...now i just need some rice molds and adorable veggie cutters. :)
