Mmm...I ♥ a good bowl of wonton soup! My dad made some last weekend from wontons he'd previously made and stored in the freezer. So you're right about them being freezer friendly! The Totoro bowl looks like it provides a perfect-sized soup lunch. :)

It was good! I was able to get about 2 bowl's worth of food, which was good because I was hungry!

Hahaha...thanks for the "wonton" of scallions idea, it's ingenious. At first glance I thought it was the store bought kind individual packets of FROZEN! chopped scallions, geez, you could sell your FRESH! "wonton" of scallions at the store!

Noodles are the best! Thanks to you and other lovely pics on the net, I bought my first bento box and packed my lunch this morning. It wasn't very artistic since I was in rush, but I have time to hone this craft.

It's a red two tired bento box, with a chopstick holder inside the lid. It came with two red bags w/white flowers , one for the bento and the other for a water bottle. My friends were amazed as I removed the first tier filled with noodles and veggies in a peanut sauce to reveal *gasp* another tier of noodle and veggies in a peanut sauce! X-p Not much variety, but very yummy!

I totally love wontons and my partner and I have dumplings and wontons all the time. Now I will make some myself as a surprise. Thanks to you!

Let me know how they turn out! I am thinking of trying the gyoza recipe posted below. Sounds yummy.

Oh, you can also, before filling your wontons, take a bit of the filling and microwave it until cooked. That way you can taste it (although it will be rubbery from the nuker) and adjust the seasonings as you prefer.

You are right, gosh, how come I did not think about that? I was thinking of a dish that I have tried in Shanghai before where the scallion wantons are served in a rich Chicken soup... it was lovely!
