You've got super skills! :) I'm always afraid of cutting myself so I end up with uneven pieces when I take the skin off. I'll use a peeler from now on. Thanks for the tip!

Many thanks for the tutorial! I bought 2 mangos over the weeked but I didnt notice the sticker on them 'let me to ripe for 4-5 days'. I couldnt wait any long and I tried cutting one this morning totally solid! I wrapped it up and left it in the fruit bowl - need to wait longer.

Does fruit ripen after you've cut it? I've never tried and always throw the fruit away after I've 'messed it up'.

Not sure if the mango will ripen now, I will let you know later on this week. I only chopped a little bit off the end to see if it was ripe. Had the sniffles so I couldnt do the smell test.

dont throw away unripe mango......it can be use in salad n eaten raw....thai people used raw mango in their salad. shred the mango finely n season with fish sauce,sugar n abit of lime juice (if the fruit isnt sour enough).you can add steam prawns or cuttlefish to the salad.
