I can't decide from the article if LJ is admitting that they're catering to new people and not us at all, or if that's an inference the writer made. It's hard to tell. Still, it's obvious LJ cares more about getting new membership.
I've been with LJ for over 10 years and had a paid account for a handful of them. I let it expire probably 5 years ago and don't regret it in the slightest. I'd leave if I didn't have so many entries here and didn't have friends still posting. Plus, my fandoms are pretty active here, too.

Otherwise, I'd be over there yesterday. I've rarely known a company to be so dismissive of its customers' complaints.
