I've become too jaded by human idiocy to be surprised by this kind of shit. A lot of times I think this is the rule and not the exception. Fail indeed.
I'm not really surprised people believe this shit. I am surprised that people like him are permitted to survive natural selection, because if they're that stupid, well... I can't believe sometimes how people can think it's okay to believe AND SAY OUT LOUD these kinds of things.

His comments about gay men and lesbians are the worst, but as a straight woman I'm laughing my head off at the idea that men are naturally more promiscuous and have a higher sex drive.
He's a fuck wit. The reason many women aren't shagging more freely is because we face a fuckton of condemnation and social ostracisation if we do. He can shove his version of biological determination up his arse - women are still labouring under the condemndation of their sexuality, and the old "men with an active sex drive are studs exhibiting their natural manliness whereas women with an active sexuality are whores and/or unnatural" is evidently alive and well for lumbering trogladytes like this judge.
Srsly. He's probably one of the same guys denying that there's a problem with sexual assault from male officers on female soldiers, too; the same person denying that there's any sexual harassment at all. There's such an obsession with military sexual politics, it's amazing. :p It's attitudes like his that are the reason for so many female servicemembers getting sexually assaulted and being blamed for it when they report it.
And seriously, converting lesbians with some 'proper male attention'? If we're going to be spouting ridiculously offensive stereotypes... Why didn't he go whole hog and say "well all those lesbians are pretty butch so they're as good as a man anyway. but we don't want any of those effeminate gays because they'd be too afraid to stand and fight"?
I've already spent enough RAEG on this article, so imma just keep snickering at the detailed care with which he describes how one might experience "lascivious enjoyment from the sight of those lithe naked bodies" in the showers. OIC.
Obviously there are a lot more closeted gay men in the army than there are out gay men trying to join? I mean clearly that's the only explanation for this obsession with male-on-male shower sex.
I'm assuming that I'm not the only one who goes by the rule of thumb that the more ridiculously, ostentatiously anti-gay someone is, the more likely they are to be closeted? It's got to the stage that I just automatically assume that if someone is frothing at the mouth about homosexuality, they're obviously going to be caught in bed at some point with a rent boy. Thanks to George Rekers, the phrase "having his luggage lifted" is now a bit of a catch phrase...when someone says a high profile homophobe is no doubt having his luggagage lifted on the side, I just sort of assume it's true
