Oh man, this French lady was totally nuts. She thought that teaching us conversational French meant that we spent the whole class reading passages from the book aloud and while she corrected our pronounciation. There was no actual conversation involved. All we did was listen to her talk in French, and no one actually understood her. Hettmansperger's lectures may have been pointless, but at least they vaguely (vaguely) related to government. Also, Hettmansperger posted grades from time to time. The first time this lady had grades for us was last week. Halfway through the semester! We did an entire project and she never actually gave us a letter grade for it. Worked on it for a month and no grade
