Doonesbury: hee! And yes.

Ear damage: not good, not good at all. I find myself reaching for the keys to type "you should sue", but I expect that would be an expensive proposition.

Well, our new health insurance won't kick in for another 6 weeks I think, so we're going to have to wait just to see a doctor about it. I guess after that, referral to a specialist, see what they say about damage, and we'll take it from there. Would be an enormous hassle to continually have to travel back to NJ though. It's not loud - I only hear it in relatively quiet atmospheres, but I'm more concerned because on my father's side there's a history of hearing decline once you get into your mid-40s. Anything that can kick that off early is very bad.
