…The FML Edition.
Just kidding. Well, sorta. Only sorta because I feel I should preface this by saying that I've hit another low this week. I feel borderline depressed, honestly (I'm not even sure I should be saying "borderline"). But I'll put the details behind a cut; feel free to skip it. In fact, I might recommend it. :P

Cut for length and maybe-not-so-uplifting )

That said: Oh, K-face.
I'm sorry you're in such a low spot right now. I want to tell you that it'll get better, but I also know the reality is that getting out and gallivanting for social-type fun-times seems like a pretty major undertaking, from the sound of your placement.
You're an absolute all-star, though, to keep an eye on the smaller things that are making you happy; do things just like this/that for yourself, no matter how tiny they may be.
And, as for your sis and her writing stress: Do you think maybe if she took some pressure off herself, it might help? One of the best pieces of advice Stephen King had in On Writing was to first write with the door closed, then write with the door open. I know there's a certain sense of urgency and excitement when I've created new pages and chapters and content, and I'm so excited to share it with someone ( ... )

Send hugs from me to your sister, she can do it but pressure can be so hard. I like Crys' idea of helping her find ways to basically have the writing be hers again for a time, close the door and have it be hers.
I know I've said this before and its still true, tell me if you need to talk. I'll manage Skype, IM, whatever you need and I'll get your package out ASAP.
Oh and I love the picture of yourself and its a great idea. I currently have some issues with pictures but it seems like a wonderful way to say, no, I rock so there.
