And on this spaceship is a certain Mr. Sherlock Holmes, formerly of Baker Street, harking from the year 1891. One would hope that said Mr. Holmes would be walking on his two feet (which he very much is), and if any of the reputation and intrigue surrounding the man is true, he would be holding a magnifying glass.
Alas, he is without it.
But he certainly wouldn't miss the sight of a mouse walking on its hind legs, holding what looks suspiciously like a miniature version of what he should be holding.

Now, where might that little yet distinctly deep voice come from? Holmes looks around for a few moments, suspecting the door at first (they talk, after all), but then realizes that the doors wouldn't really care about...trampling evidence.
So he looks down at his feet, where said 'evidence' is supposed to be, and spots the mouse detective, magnifying glass and all.

Unless he almost steps on said animal, of course.

And since Basil has been around long enough to know that talking to humans is cool now, he stamps his little foot and glares up at Holmes, back rigid.
"Pardon me! Sir! You are trampling my evidence!"
His voice is deep...for a mouse...

And he just.
Stares.
"...Beg your pardon?"
