oomm: Arnold and John's Excellent Christmas Adventure

Arnold limps into Milliways and glances around. He's dressed in winter attire--a thicker and longer sweater than normal, snow boots, and a scarf/mitten matching combo.

He heads straight for the bar (still limping) and contemplates asking for a hot chocolate or something.

He's running a little early, after all.

"What happened to you?"

Always so good at greetings, John.

"John, you're early!" He sounds pleased by this.

"I paid Harold a quarter to stomp my leg. So the mugging story would be more realistic, you know?"

"Oh. Right."

That.

Part of John wants to facepalm. He didn't think Arnold would actually do that.

Still, it's kind of amusing.

"Well, I hope you got your money's worth."

[heyfootballhead]

"It was a good deal, I probably won't be running bases for a week."

And then: "Are you ready to go?" Arnold's nervous but excited. He wants this to go smoothly really badly.
