Starla's at a table not too far away with a book and a glass of iced tea.
When she looks up from her latest chapter, she's more than a little surprised to spot Bill slumped in the corner, alone in a room full of people.
She frowns a little as she sees a wait-rat take away an untouched plate of bacon-cheese fries, then offer what looks like a giant hot-fudge sundae, and Bill seems to completely ignore the dessert.
Picking up her tea, she leaves her book where it is and walks over.

Lifting his head he looks around and then finally sees Starla.
"Hey."
His voice is level and he works very hard to keep his tone even, to push down what he's feeling so it doesn't show on his face.
"Still here, huh?"
Not for long, he's sure.

She glances toward the wall where her door should be, suddenly a little uncertain.
Shifting her weight, she looks back to him.
"No door yet."

His gaze shifts, not to the door or wall in question, but away from it and back to the same blank wall he's been staring at all this time.
"It'll come back."
Come back to take her home at least, who knows after that.
