Clothes Shopping, Weight, Movie, HGTV Design Star, Next Food Network Star

I partly got over my clothes-shopping phobia on Friday. One of my co-workers was going to Avenue and I asked if I could tag along. I hadn’t planned on buying much of anything - maybe one of my usual baggy tops, but I wanted to try on some different sizes of pants and/or skirts to see if I could determine what size I am now. That sort of worked ( Read more... )

I hadn't thought of them stepping back as Tracee-sabotage as much as everyone knows that kitchens are PROJECTS OF DEATH and rather meekly sneak their way into the final three. I still agree with Vern that the room was duller than dirt though.

I still don't get why Tracee thought it'd be cool to not drop off the tile earlier.

As for NFNS, I have to agree about Lisa and Paula Deen XD I'm still bummed that Kelsey left. I'm not convinced that Adam isn't just a fame whore (he was on Last Comic Standing at one point) while Kelsey at least was genuine.

You may be right about them ust meekly sneaking in. I'd been reading TWoP, which always loves a good conspiracy theory, and they kind of won me over. ;) And I think Tracee was just a complete idiot. I thought she was crazy to be happy about being project leader in the first place, then she did everything wrong project-leading-wise.

As for Adam, I think he is indeed just a famewhore, and a planted one at that. They aren't allowing us to vote and they had one other stand-up comic who didn't perform the way they thought she would. IMO they are casting the stand-up-comedy-food show, and Adam's a shoe-in to win, though I do think Lisa has an outside chance if Adam's finale turns out to be a complete disaster.

I think Tracee just doesn't play well with others, and figures that if things don't work out the way she wants them it can't possibly be her fault. I also think that despite her claims of experience, she's definitely lacking in certain areas as we saw last Sunday.

Out of curiosity, who was the failed stand-up comic, because I just can't remember. I didn't realize that we weren't allowed to vote (I don't ever watch the shows that follow, so I don't care that much, it wouldn't surprise me if they stopped voting the guy who ultimately got cut for lying on his resume was doing very well) and I know they're all about recycling shows.

I did find it interesting to see that it appears they've decided to give Robert Irvine the semi-permanent boot: looks like the guy who won the Iron Chef show will be taking it over, which I'm glad to see. It's not like they've given the guy many battles on Iron Chef.

The failed stand up comic was Cory Kahaney. She wasn't very memorable. She froze up in front of the camera, was completely unfunny and was booted in the first episode by an extremely disappointed panel. I think Tuschman was especially disappointed in her.

I kind of don't blame them for stopping audience voting after the Jag incident myself, but I think they were also furious that Amy won. They clearly wanted Jag as first choice and Rory as second.

I'm glad they're giving Michael Symon Dinner:Impossible as well. I like his personality and his cooking and I kind of hope he shakes that show up a little. ETA: I just looked at his blog and they are indeed making some changes. The main one seems to be that it will now be a one hour show. And he has a new puppy!

Remember cheap clothes don't size the same as NICE stuff. You might try going to a nicer store to see how you size. Dillards has some great sales at the end of the summer. Congratulations on your hard work so far!

Good idea! I like Dillards and they have a big variety of clothes so I could try several brands to compare. Thank you!!!

Man, don't you hate when you're doing so well exercise-wise, and something happens to derail you? Sucks! But I'm sure things are probably fine- good for you for keeping with it! I still haven't started back up. :-(

Yeah, it was pretty annoying! Especially since it was self-inflicted. The knee seems to be good now. I wish I could work out with you. I think it really helps to have a workout or walking or whatever buddy. Could you talk a co-worker or family member into doing something with you?

I wish we could work out together, too! :-)

Well, I have a friend who wants to get back to working out as well. But she is never as eager to go, and we end up making excuses. I've never found a friend who gets as gung-ho about it, and I still have to make myself go when they bail. I'm gonna do it, though! I have to!

You are going to do it! I have complete faith in you! Maybe I should email you every evening before I leave work for the gym with something like, "Hey, let's go work out tonight!!!" Unless you're a morning person, cause I've never been able to make myself work out in the morning.
