Survivor and a Poll

I missed ANTM last night, and there was no Dirty Sexy Money, so the only thing I watched was Kitchen Nightmares and it wasn’t a particularly great episode. That Sebastian guy was truly delusional, though ( Read more... )

LOL! I just realized, looking at the poll results, I misread #1 as "Would you like to" rather that "WHO would you like to". But my answer is still the same.

And you know, until I checked IMDb to find out what the movies were about, I never knew the plot of P2, even though I've seen the commercial tons of times.

I thought your answer was perfect! The only reason I want to see anyone in it is because there could be some wonderful meltdowns provided by seriously delusional "celebrities."

Yeah, the P2 ads are pretty sketchy. They've really downplayed the Christmas Eve part of it, haven't they? I didn't realize it was a holiday-themed movie until I googled that phrase and it came up!

They're making a MOVIE based on Thomas Kinkade's "paintings"?

OK, that's it - the apocalypse is at hand. I'm going to hide under my bed till it's all over.

I am sorry to tell you they are not making it -- it has been completed. There are no release dates yet. I am having a lot of trouble wrapping my mind around the fact that Ed Asner, Peter O'Toole and Marcia Gay Harden appear in this ... thing. Worse yet, Lionsgate has already launched development of a second Kinkade project but is keeping details under wraps. And I think I read another article that claimed there was going to be a trilogy of them.

WHHHYYYYYY???

*cries*

p.s. I know conservatives keep whining about how the evil Hollywood Jews liberals are always making movies full of sex and violence that are lacking in "family values." And yet this is the crap they come up with instead? C'mon, it is POSSIBLE to make "family"-oriented films that don't suck. Jeez.

I'm crying right along with you. I can come up with 10 movies that have little or no sex or violence and plenty of family values that were made by Those Hollywood Liberals and are either out right now or releasing within the next month. And as a bonus they have no Thomas Kinkade whatsoever. But people love this man's wretched twee "paintings" so he gets a 3-picture vanity project worth millions. It is infuriating.

To top everything off, one of my co-workers actually spammed me with a forwarded email requesting that I boycott The Golden Compass OMG!!! It was all I could do to keep myself from firing back a wanky response.
