Avery Island

I hadn't been out to Avery Island in I don't know how long. I remember one time I came to Louisiana to visit my dad and he took me to the bird sanctuary, but I didn't remember it quite the way I saw it today. Avery Island is where all the Tabasco Sauce in the world is made, but what a lot of people don't know, is that it is a freaking beautiful

That pagoda seems oddly out of place somehow.

It is a little out of place considering the majority of the population here equates Buddhism with Satanism, however, it's quite a "zen" place. There is a buddha in a lotus sitting in the pagaoda and it is surrounded by moss covered Oaks and the swamp. A little out of place, but wonderful nonetheless.
