Is that the case of the girl from LB? We were just talking about it here; apparently she was a student of my officemate Anne's boyfriend. It's depressing.
I hate it when rape happens & all everyone has to say about it is how girls should be more careful. Uh, how about telling boys not to rape. >/

That's a beautiful, and incredibly sad poem. That last line is precisely what I wonder. What are we teaching our boys, that they think this is OK?
"We did not mean any harm." To not mean any harm, those boys would have to see that poor young girl as something that couldn't be harmed. As something not capable of feeling pain, as an inanimate object. They didn't even view her as a person. That's horrifying.
I really would be OK with castration being the mandatory punishment for convicted rapists. Cruel and inhumane punishment? Fuck that, it fits the crime.
