Oh, my good Lord, you saw THAT set of episodes...oh, you poor sweet child, I know *exactly* what you were going through. *grin*

The only anime episodes that traumatized me as much were the ones where Dias Ragu went to his death in Shadow Skill. Oh GAWWWWWWWD, I couldn't even finish the episode summaries I was writing, I felt so bad.

Just thinking about what poor Ayu-nee must have gone through gives me the willies. Am so glad that the Shinsengumi gave those bastards exactly what they deserved, in spades. Plus, didn't Susumu look gorgeous as a girl?

I followed the NHK Shinsengumi Taiga drama, back in the day, and only understood the plots of each episode through the plot summaries on the NHK English website and this other J-drama forum. What can I say, I fell in love with Odagiri Jo, who played Saito (be still my beating heart). This is the wiki.d-addicts.com link to the program page.

I honestly had a feeling that something like it was bound to happen, because shows like this one usually have a high casualty count among the characters you love -- especially since you don't get intrusions from disposable characters who are there to throw you off.

I actually just finished the last three eps (flailage directed mostly to a chat window to my friend) and I feel like I've been put through the wringer. Very happy to know that it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

Was very, very happy (read: seriously fist-pumped) when Susumu dressed up all nice to scare the beejeezus out of Masuya.

UNF. SUSUMU. Is there a requirement somewhere that all ninjas must be hot? APPARENTLY YES. GUH.

I should recc this to Em. She mentioned craving this particular time period and I really think this one might interest her :3
