Does the Church not understand that (a) use of BC is voluntary, no one is going to force all the good little Catholics to use it; and (b) that preventing pregnancy takes the abotion issue right off the table? Not pregnant = not getting an abotion! Which I know isn't even an option in your country, but damn. I find it quite frightening, that a religion can exert that much control over government policy.
