What a different but interesting storyline!!! I’m actually not so sure because of the prompt but I enjoyed this story the most…what makes it my choice to the best overall story!!!
As someone who always got an icky feeling where Adar was concerned, I'm impressed by how you've managed to make him somewhat likeable here and given him some substance. I felt the glimpse into Laura's past that you provide throughout their conversations was fantastic, and I adore that that past and her decisions have been less than sterling. And I love their banter, their familiarity, their admission of their feelings of friendship and beyond.
This was great. Strange how a story about the after-effects of Laura's sisters and fathers' deaths could be so funny, but it is. And I would like to see more stories about Laura's days of being a teacher. Especially the one about how she provoked a student into stabbing her so she could get funding for the school. LOL. I SO want to see that story. Once I find out who you are, I might have to start nagging you. :)
You know, I am completely in love with this story, because I can really imagine their relationship going this way. It's just so... fitting. I really do love this so much.
