I did get the necklace and I have it around my neck safe and sound right now. I can't understand why you would send it to me, as it was always supposed to be with you. The contents of your letter tells me you're hiding something, and I don't like what I am sensing.

You have always been a source of happiness for me even when there were times I thought I would never know even an inkling of elation ever again, but we proved that to one another that one time, didn't we? We shared a gift that night that we can say no other will ever have from either of us. For that, I will always cherish you, and in my own way, love you.

If the meeting is the last time I shall ever see you, then I want you to take with you the knowledge that you are loved, Emmeline Vance.
