Time with Ada
I was home today with a horrible cold, still. Ada was rather wonderful about entertaining herself while I cooked dinner. What I heard went rather like this ( Read more... ) -
35 years old...so far: unpleasantly like 15 and 24
I am sure I can manage better this time, but I would have been fine without a rerun of the stupid stomach pain whenever I am tired. -
Dream
I was woken this morning from a dream where I was desperately phoning the police, trying to get protection before the thieves with knives got to me.
I'm still feeling rather unsettled, because I didn't get through, and it's so important that I sort it all out.
Lame bit: the thieves wanted revenge because I disrespected their office-pen-stealing -

Badminton is fun. Really, really fun. I'd forgotten, since I haven't played for twenty years (not since I was 14 or so).
Next week, I will have shoes, water, my wrist brace, and a raquet, I think.
I haven't laughed so much in ages. -

Summary of a good book
Tonight, I read Ada Where Am I?, a cosmology book for kids that Rodger has had since childhood. It's good -- very straightforward, but with a twist at the end. Clever and well written. I've been wondering what she's been making of it, though, with its steps from 'I am in my town' to 'I am in the Universe.'

Not how I wanted to spend my anniversary
I've got Ada's gastroenteritis now. It's heading for 24 hours, and I'm down to extreme discomfort and exhaustion. I hope with all my heart that no one else gets it.
Somehow in with looking after us both, Rodger managed to find a present for our 14th anniversary. He's very sweet to me. -
Sick toddler
Ada has gastroenteritis. She's lying on the sofa right now, just waking from a quarter-hour nap.
