I feel like I should make the point that just because Anansi get eaten doesn't necessarily mean he's defeated.

It occurred to me that getting eaten might be integral to his trick, but I think that the fact of the matter is that it's hard to win after you get eaten, unless you explode Mr. Smith.

Also, it occurs to me that Anansi shares Brer Rabbit's tar baby story. Which... what better way to escape post-coital consumption than to use an escape doll?
