I figured out how to log in to my online health insurance claims today. Would you believe the total cost of that kidney stone (a day in the E.R. plus doctor's visits for the stone afterwards) was $22,618.23?! My insurance settled my claims for the oh-so-low cost of $13,781.14. Still, I'm shocked by the cost. I feel like I won the worst showcase ( Read more... )

I never realized that Leukemia was something you could recover from. That's a debt the size of a house!

For some reason, I'm less shocked.

It's a terrible showcase when they're trying to negotiate a lower price.
