Maybe someone tried to Viking the building and that's what caused the burnt-out compressors? Or maybe someone was trying to heat up a pop tart?

I'm impressed that little gadget held enough charge to jump your car that many times. Have you ever tried turning over a car engine? Those things are heavy! Not to mention, they're generally bolted down pretty well...
