So, I've been watching old episodes of Wang Zi Bian Qing Wa again. Damn, it's such a good show! I just can't get over it!! T___T
And now I'm listening to this song 好爱她 好想他 Hau ai ta hau xiang ta (Loving her missing him<--roughly translated by me. Someone do correct me if I'm wrong). I love the MV

好爱她 好想他 <--- that would probably translate more to "Love her so, Miss him so", because of the "好" thrown in, which means "so much" or "a lot" in this context ^^

Thx for the clarification. I kinda knew that about the 好 but I wasn't sure if I should word that in the translation, too. btw are u fluent in mando? If so, onegai oshiete kure! or maybe i should say jyau wo. excuse my pinyin. i like learned the yale style of romanizing at school but now im starting to learn the more commonly used pinyin that I usually see online. Because Ive learned both I tend to confuse which is which...so sorry if some of the words look funny to you cuz theyre in the yale style.

Cantonese is my first language, actually, but I guess I'm pretty fluent in Mandarin too (my mom made me take classes for a few years ^^;), so if you have any questions at all, feel free to ask! :) Are you learning in Simplified Chinese or Traditional Chinese? How long have you learnt Mandarin for?

I see. You're so lucky! You know so many languages. I learned Traditional Chinese but I forgot a lot. I only remember some kanji because I see it often in dramas or I just know the meaning because I study Japanese. I studied Mando for a year in university. It was really basic and such an easy class. But the teacher mostly lectured to us and taught from the book. So can't say we really got much of a level up in our actual conversation ability. Either way, I still loved taking that class.

also what does "shen bian" mean? I hear it a lot in songs. Sorry I dunno the tones or the kanji for it.
