Cliches and School

So... my sister is currently reading me cliche phrases that make her laugh. She finds "flog a dead horse" particularly entertaining.  That, and "I think you're no spring chicken" and "albatross around your neck."  I don't know why she's reading cliches.  Really, I don't.  But she thinks they're hilarious ( Read more... )

Also: Woah, woah, woah! My best friend, Lauren Assour, is a Computer Science major and did a program in Austria over the summer. Do you remember what town he was in? She was in Salzburg (wondering if they were doing the same thing)...

It's not exactly a cliche, but I spent a good hour last night admiring the phrase, "Lord willing and the crick don't rise." It makes me smile.
