I tend to get ideas that are just way too complex and giant to fit into a oneshot, and I despise drabbles. Remember for pthon, how I couldn't keep ANYTHING below 750 words without feeling like I'd cut half the good stuff out of my entry? Imagine that but at least 7 times harder.
There's some kind of semi-gen between-series fic I've got mixing up in my head though, something about Leon and Elyan and the year that went by after Morgana left when the knights took up residence... what made it so Arthur could so openly call Merlin a brave man? You know? I have little flashes of something, here and there, but none of it is glomming together.
If you want to take the candle idea, go for it. I'll just use it too, if I ever decide to write anything. Our styles are so incredibly disparate I'm sure we'll have very different fics.
Hah, this season, dude. It's killing me with plot bunnies. They are everywhere! And I can't really stop to write them, because I am still trying to finish my ginormous fic.
