i was 14 before i finally accepted that i couldn't really fly. it was a decade later before i realized why i'd been so convinced i knew how to fly in the first place

I still am not sure if I can't really fly. I seriously thought I could too. I chalked it up to my reoccuring dream about being in the courtyard at my doctors office and taking flight off the water fountain.
