[sharing] Kana Uemura
There was a time when I was so excited to try out different kinds of Jmusic, I cleaned out every solo female vocalist this one site has and it was the happiest day (month?) of my life. But unfortunately, due to my short span attention, I found myself deleting most of them from my music folder and never heard about them any more, just because I don't love them the way I did before. A shame, really. But among the 'was loved', Kana Uemura (植村花菜) still managed to make me to die inside if I ever thought of not loving her any more. How can I ever part ways with Only You, Anata no Sono Egao wa Ii Hint ni Naru, and even Shalala.
Like what I had wrote in her Last.fm profile, she was inspired to sing after watching the "Sounds of Music" movie and later performed as a street musician before grabbing her chance to debut from an audition she participated. Kana also writes and composed most of her song, a big plus in my book. If I were to describe her music, it would be something alike Shibajun with a guitar. They're somewhere between acoustic guitar ballads, catchy Pop and beautiful vocals. I'd say any of her albums are great to start off with.
