Most of J-drama fans might have recognized her playing mostly the 'evil' or 'sisterly' role of drama titles such as Mei-chan no Shitsuji, Seigi no Mikata and Gokusen 3. Aside from acting, Yu Yamada - a half Spanish and Japanese - also had a musical career which to me is quite impressive. She is slowly recognized by anime fans when her latest single was used as the ending theme of the anime Basquash. Yu is somewhat able with her English too - she can say a line or two quite fluently, if not slightly accented.

I gave her a listen from a random curiosity and I was sold by the debut single. Note that I know nothing of her acting career since I watch close to no J-dramas. The only ones that I watched either had her as a major role or if it's an adaptation of a manga that I like. From the little that I've seen her acting, she's really good pulling the 'evil' role. Musically, she ventured the Dance/R&B which is very pleasing to my standard. The debut album was released in 2008 and the second album is predicted to come some time soon. In the meantime, I'd recommend fans of her acting or fans of Dance-y tunes to listen to this album. One of my favorite PV is fiesta!fiesta, if you'd like to hear how's her music is.
