It's the latest one I've been interested in so far. I've got my fangirl fingers in so many fandom pots, it's not even funny.
BUT OMGOSH, I LOVE FRED AND GEORGE... and I know what happens to them, so I'm still pretty teary-eyed about it.... I just want everyone to LIVE. Blimey, is it that hard to ask for?
And I've got a soft spot for the old married couple bickering Ron and Hermione do throughout the books. It's hilarious!
And Mrs. Weasley.... and sometimes Harry.... and Luna... and Neville. Oh, Neville!
In that case, I'm so super proud and excited for you!!!!! My kids and are listening to the fifth book in the car right now. Damn, that thing is loooong.
I love all of the backstories, the political intrigue and basically the family story. It all boils down to family and knowing where your loyalties lie. Forgiveness and heartache. The heights of love and depths of hatred. There's a lot more to it than at first appearance, that's for sure.
good for you! i'm ashamed to say i have abandoned my planned marathon after the 4th book because i needed to go ahead on my reading list. so far everything i've read was rather shitty, which is upsetting, but i hope to get back to the 5th book towards the release of the last film.
Yay! And Harry Potter is always well worth a random post. :D
I'm kind of jealous of you being able to read them all so quickly - I started at age 7 and had to wait until I was 15 to get my hands on the last one! But I'm proud to say that J.K. Rowling pretty much taught me everything I know about love and friendship and loyalty. :')
Wow, eight years? Has it really been that long? What, 1999 was when it came out, right? I was... Gosh, like in ninth grade. 14 at least. It seems so long ago, when I remember EVERYONE AND HIS UNCLE was reading them.
J.K. Rowling really has a knack for family moments in this. And learning about friendships and being true to who you are... plus all this wonderful back story of the parents of all the kids in Hogwarts and the political intrigue.... it's so much fun and really has been grabbing my attention.
Yeah - well they first came out in 1997, but they only really started getting publicity in about 1999. I still remember the first time I read the book, the first time they announced that they were making a movie. And now... it seems a lifetime ago!

Sorry your list is crappy, but maybe there will be a gem tucked in there somewhere. You never know. :)
I'm on Book 6 now.... I know what happens, so I'm not as uneasy about everything, but wow... gosh.
