an unexpected gift

I’m doing copy edits, which is the least fun part of anything, on SHAMAN RISES. They’re actually very light this time; the only real issue is that the copy editor and I have a violent disagreement over the Oxford comma (I am pro; she is con).

Anyway, so I was reading along and suddenly something TOTALLY UNEXPECTED happened in the book!

And then ( Read more... )

writing, walker papers

That is SO wonderful! I can't wait to read the book. Except that I never want to read it, because then the series will be over :-(

Yay! That sounds wonderful, and Very Promising!

And the Oxford comma totally wins, fwiw.

I do this all the time, and I can't figure out if it's because my memory is that bad (it is, my family has learned to ask me what I've forgotten when they find me standing in the middle of a room staring into space)... or because I write so quickly I don't remember what I wrote two days ago. -_-

Yay, for self-entertainment, though? :)

Hee! I sometimes do a variant of that, where I forget I wrote something. So I'll be reading an old thread or paper and going "that's very good!"... and then I realize I was the one who wrote it. Always torn on whether that means I am a good writer, or if I just write to my own id.
