I thought I’d start the new year off right, with a cover reveal for SHAMAN RISES, the final book of the Walker Papers!

I had many similar thoughts, including "She has a head! She has a face! But . . . she really doesn't look anything like Jo, does she? Hnnng.

None of the glimpses of her face ever have (except maybe Demon Hunts) but everything else is awesome. :)

My first reaction is 'wow' - how different and striking compared to so many of the urban fantasy covers.

It's *light*! Urban fantasy covers are almost never light! They're sometimes playful, but I can't offhand think of a playful one with recognizeably human imagery that's not also Overtly Sexy--playboy bunny kind of stuff, almost--so I feel like this cover is doing all kinds of exciting things! *beams*

Like everyone else, my first reaction was "she has a face!" :) Followed by "Kit must be so pleased!" It's a gorgeous cover.
