Incredibly busy fun weekend with Kate, then the past two days have been mostly at the new house cleaning carpets and things, omg. Mom and I are wrecked, but the house is looking much nicer. Strongly recommend raspberry over blackberry, if you can. I suspect blackberry would be just as happy in Ireland as in Oregon, and it's nearly impossible to control, there. Lovely berries. Nasty vines.
Raspberries, in my limited experience, are more easily trained.

Wouldn't it be nice if one could just will things from the old house to the new house. "You. Bookcase full of books. Yeah, you. Left wall but not blocking the thermostat. Go! Alright, armchair. You're next. You know where you need to be."
