Elfquest: The Final Quest, Page 2. And yes, I will be linking to this every week until they’re done with the prologue, because THAT’S HOW I ROLL.

Via Neil Gaiman: Wow. One of the actresses in “The Innocence of Muslims” speaks out. Her story is really, really not what you think it would be.

Thank you SO MUCH for continuing to link to them, so I don't miss them. I don't see how to RSS them easily, and without RSS, I am undone.

And it really is nice to have some EQ back again. I'll probably buy this collected eventually, because the art is perfect.

Indeed, they aren't making it very easy to just set a bookmark to revisit either. I am happy to see new EQ also....

I did not love Mercy episode of Dr Who. I'm reserving judgement, though, to see how this episode and the previous episode fit into the larger arc.

Random point about Marvel and the target audience that I saw a while ago and thought was interesting -- Marvel is now owned by Disney. Disney has the target demographic market of little girls solidly locked up with their princess movies (and assorted merchandise). But Disney had been wanting a more solid lock on their male counterparts, hence the purchase of Marvel, and why it still seems disappointingly sexist in many ways. Because they're not actually trying to broaden their audience, they want the tween/teen boys....And DC is owned, IIRC, by Time Warner, which is in a similar boat. I am not sure of all the facts in this theory, but it was an intriguing point, suggesting story/visuals being driven by a marketing focus.
