bookstore accidents galore

Every time we’ve gone into a bookstore here we’ve come out with piles of books. Today I picked up Kari Sperring’s LIVING WITH GHOSTS; a couple days ago I got Ursula Vernon’s 2nd DRAGONBREATH book and Ted picked up DB Jackson’s THIEFTAKER. Yes, everything we’ve bought on this trip, except at the used bookstore, has been by people we knew. :)

I always wanted to learn how to braid rugs, too. I look forward to reading about your progress.

I never imagined there were other people who wanted to braid rugs! I'll post and take pictures and things as I do my first one, if you like. :)

The kindred spirit at the bookstore said she was doing her first braided rug out of old jeans. I thought that was a great idea, except of course I haven't been saving old jeans for years with the plan to make a rug of them, so I haven't a stockpile. I'll have to go to some charity shops, I guess, although I'm faintly tempted to say "Send me your old jeans!" in a blog post.

That would probably be a terrible mistake. :)

It sounds like a wonderful vacation, and it's also been entertaining to me to see Tweets from you realizing you're an hour behind me instead of eight in front. *hug!*

(And, yeah, the Little House books made me want to do SO MUCH. I have a bird's nest pudding recipe because of Farmer Boy. >.> )
