I threw caution to the wind yesterday and went to the zoo instead of doing, oh, you know. All the household chores. (This resulted in ordering dinner in last night, but hey.) It was a nice day, which mostly means there was neither wind nor rain, and those two things made going worth it.

Aw, so cute.

I love peacocks, and now, I'm seriously tempted to make a peacock blanket. :)

Saving off a local copy of the peacock picture. There are about a gazillion (official quantity) peacock-themed knitting patterns, but I never particularly loved any of them. I especially like the golden-brown tones in this, though, so maybe some new design will occur to me. Indy has good taste!

That would be awesome. If you don't want to put it up on flickr at original size, gmail allows 25MB attachments and my address is texturedknitter@

I'm still an amateur so I don't know if/when I'll ever come up with a publishable pattern that I like, but if I do I'd contact you about rights/permissions before using your picture in a pattern. Which I realize is a requirement of your flickr terms to begin with, but a lot of internetizens seem to ignore those pesky details. It still always shocks me when creative content producers don't respect the rights on each other's creative content.

Damn you, Catie! You made me go and look at the bears and wolves over at Skansen :p. *ponders* I have 7 euro. Wonder if it covers the entrance fee? *goes to check* Yupp. But it is more fun going with someone...
