Sigh.

This week I have unintentionally but thoroughly proven that I will not get up at 5:30am to exercise. I will just barely get up at that time to write, but if my mental position is that I’m going to get up and exercise rather than that I’m going to get up and write…I stay in bed. The result is I haven’t exercised hardly at all *and* I’m behind on ( Read more... )

The notion of getting up to write or to exercise at 5.30 am leaves me boggled at the utter impossibility of doing any such thing. Or pretty much anything actually.

Working through the night to 5.30 am? Yes, I reckon I can still do that - though I haven't had to in some years.

Up with the lark? Forget it. Love, me and the night owls xxx

I used to be much more of a night owl, but I've grown to appreciate mornings more. And also Young Indiana wakes up at approximately the same time in the morning no matter when I go to bed, so I'm better off going to bed earlier and getting up earlier to work than staying up late to work and, er, not getting enough sleep.

I have total exercise fail here, too. It just can't face the cold outdoors. I'm telling myself it's a time-of-year thing and will improve once the mornings are lighter.

I've always thought that it was Completely Unfair that the dern stories won't write themselves.

Exercising at 5:30 -- nope, won't do it. I *can* -- and was, until grumblegretchankle -- get up, have breakfast and go the gym. But then, I'm a late-in-the-day writer, so I do all errands and schedule appointments during the front part of the day.

The dress is indeed magnificent. D'you want aught else from over here? (I'd suggest chocolate chips or pop tarts, but that seems a bit counterproductive.)

The thought of getting up at 5.30 in the morning would make any sane person cranky.

Another night owl here.
