‘k. Have gotten through WAYFINDER and written all over the manuscript. Making the edits almost certainly won’t take more than the weekend. Found one distinct problem which I think I can take care of relatively easily, and another one which…may not be exactly a problem. Not sure. Ah, but have you pointed out to them that section that you think might be a problem, or are you waiting to see if they spot it for themselves? (I have a very specific reason for asking, murmurs the man who has just today delivered a manuscript...)

I *never* point out what I think needs work. I'm tempted to every single time, but I never ever do. One doesn't want to prejudice them! :)

That is very wise. And yes, I know that temptation too, but no: best to stand mute, and see if they feel the same way you do.

They usually do. But I still wouldn't want to prejudice them!

I had a distressing dream last night where in I figured out how to make the book 100% better, and could see every flaw in it, and this morning when I woke up all I knew is that I'd had the dream and that the book was terrible. *headdesk*
