Geeks, Represent!

I have damned good friends. Lithera picked up copies of the FCBD issue of Chance, as well as issue #5, while she was at ComicCon, and I have just received a big box full of those and other extremely splendid things, including a STRANGERS IN PARADISE canvas bag.

Which reminded me that I was thinking a couple days ago about how many of my belongings ( Read more... )

I suppose the fact that I generally carry two blackberry's, and sometimes my laptop as well probably gives it away for me...

Seeing as I now work for Think Geek (http://www.thinkgeek.com), I can't help but approve. Geeks, Represent! could be our company byline. :)

(Our international shipping rates are not the greatest, I'm told, but people are working on that, and they're better than they used to be.)

I'm currently wearing a shirt with the Pac-Man ghosts being chased by Ecto-1, so I'm covered.

Not the greatest?

You mean there are geeks who can afford them?

Please, please, PLEASE get USPS!

I once bought a couple of T-shirts and a 'free the code' mousepad. The freight was more than the goods.

I'm still on the mailinglist, though, and I often look through it, going 'that's nice,' or 'I want that,' except... the postage sucks...

And trust me, I'm more geeky than most.
(Owning 200+ computers should qualify for that.)
For goodness sake, I use a 'W2K Server' T-Shirt to wipe clean the ouside of my toilet.(It's black, and seemingly lint-free... )

Shirts?
I still have the classic 'Kamikaze Bear' Sinclair User T-Shirt in my closet.
(Still haven't gotten hold of a Sinclair ZX80, though)

I have several SCA buttons on my tote... and my favorite buttons: "I read banned books" and "Keep the books, ban the censors". (These came out when schools started banning Mark Twain, Uncle Tom's Cabin, and the like.)

Hmm ok like the SCA, read waaaayyy too much for my own good, love to game, into way too much sci fi and fantasy. Guess I am a geek, maybe =p
