More memory, mostly. Less likelihood of the computer crashing. And it's easier to manipulate with a mouse, which I can attach to the laptop, f course, but it's awkward.

I've actually come to loathe using a mouse for graphics of any kind - the movements are so limited, if you try to do smooth lines your wrist gets hung up somewhere and everything goes all bleck, and the mousepad is too small, and and ... UGH. I so want a tablet. :/
