As ganked from nhw/Nicholas, As evidenced by Katie Couric, Sarah Palin is unable to name any Supreme Court Case other than Roe v. Wade.

The Rules: Post info about ONE Supreme Court decision, modern or historical your lj. (Any decision, as long as it’s not Roe v. Wade.)

Brown v. Board of Education - 1954 - racial integration of schools.

Yeah, that's the best one. :)

I already answered Dred Scott somewhere else. I'm appalled she couldn't think of THAT one. Didn't those five colleges she attended teach her anything?

By the way, Catie...that icon is the BOMB. And grats on the sweets thing. That's really impressive, as is the Pilates. That class is not easy. :)

The only other one I can name is Brown v. Board of Education. Then again, my platform for running the country involves less Constitution and precedent and more STFU and do what I tell you.

So basically, I'm planning to use the same system as GWB...only for good instead of evil.

*grin* Ganked, and posted! So much better a meme than "What Color Is Your Lightsaber?"

But...Ursula...what color *is* your lightsaber?

Yeah, I thought that was actually a pretty cool and potentially educational meme. I also don't know many by name, but perhaps I'll know more by the end of the day!

Brown vs Board of Ed (integration)
Dred Scott (if you don't know this one, go back to school)
NYT vs. US (release of secret papers)
Standard Oil vs US (take a wild guess)
Nixon vs. US (likewise, wild guess)

and there's been at least one Steelworkers Union case decided there, but be damned if I can remember details off the top of my head.

Um. Yes, I am not much impressed with Guv'nor Palin, no. Although I can understand blocking out anything having to do with Watergate from her memory.... that whole "lying under oath, refusing to testify" thing is a touchy subject...

Can't name a single one outside Roe v. Wade and that's only because the media hasn't shut up about it since it went through.

Most of the cases that have caught my attention never made it to the supreme court...Of course, I'm not taking this seriously as I'm still laughing that there's a supreme court case about marriage named 'Loving v. Virginia', as the irony only compounded by the slogan here -- "Virginia is for lovers".
