my tbr list

I saw this over at League of Reluctant Adults and thought what a great way to procrastinate! I think I’ll do one too!: a summary of my TBR list. I’ve gotten mine down to around 40 books, so this isn’t an entirely impossible meme to play around with. (Mind you, I’ve done that by setting a moratorium on buying new books last *August* until we had ( Read more... )

It might be on Ted's part of the TBR shelf. I'm pretty sure we bought it at WFC. :)

I love it! I don't think a TBR list works out so well for me, as I tend to grab whichever book is next in the pile or shelf some days and others have to find something to match the mood.

Half surprised that some of the purchased titles are still on the list. Though I found out Breath & Bone was out due to your post and quickly consumed it...

Finally worked my way down to a mere six or seven books left in my stockpile, but it's SOOO HARD not to run out and buy TQB and Warlord and Charlaine Harris's latest...

Oh, I don't read them in order, I'm just anal and they're alphabetized (yes, I even alphabetize my TBR shelf...) so I thought I'd break 'em up into swag and purchased for my own curiosity.

*Many* of those books are still on my TBR list because the writers are so good that I find myself in a pit of despair because I'll never be that good when I read them, so I'm waiting til I have a break so I can get over myself after reading 'em. And I haven't had a break since, um. 3 years ago. :)

*gives you dispensation to go buy TQB* :)

Is it less dire? Would it make you feel better yet to hear there are another 40 or 50 books on Ted's half of the shelf? :)

Mine is much more dire :D But seeing someone else's stacks makes me feel better about having a backlog :D

oh! *laugh* Well, ours used to be more dire. The whole "no buying new books" thing has helped... :)

Bwahaha!! Yeah... Virginia and I got Mark started on that kick when we posted ours. I only have 70 (down to 67 now!!) but she totally won with 107. *facepalm* I don't know any of those writers though! So now I will hvae to go check them out... :) Except Jennifer Fallon. LOVED her first trilogy. Bought the second two for the prequel trilogy and am waiting for the third to come out in paperback. I know that I'll want all of them right there to read straight through.

Have you read Fallon's Second Sons trilogy? ZOMG good!

Ooo... no... just the Medalon series. (Right? Medalon? Too lazy to look it up now...) :)

Read the Second Sons books. They're *incredible*. They make the Medalon books look, well, like a first effort, which they were. I mean, they're a really *good* first effort, but the Second Son trilogy is *brilliant*.
