For people who come in through mizkit.com’s front page instead of LJ, there’s an LJ-only poll/post here which it’s possible people without LJ accounts can’t actually participate in anyway, so maybe I’m just torturing you. Hm. :)

I am hereby a little apalled you've never read 1984, mainly because it was a book that rocked my little world when I read it back in high school. It doesn't even occur to me as possible that someone with whom I've shared a lot of common experiences and those deep-und-meaningful 3 AM dorm talks would be missing that common referrant.
