V. proud of myself. Got 2/3rds of the way through the manuscript with little revisiony things (it is of course in the last 3rd (which is really the third quarter) that the real work needs to be done, but well, hell, at least I got that far) and went for a walk, upon which I saw sammywol and her father. The fire brigade thing is odd but they do that a lot. I think it is to test the hoses as they usually do a bunch of other equipment checks as well. The kids in the playground love it and once DD was allowed to go explore inside the cab. How cool was that - unfortunately I was not with her that day but Mr Wol came home with a grin a mile wide and a real little-boy gleam in his eyes.

That hair style is FAR too much effort. Can you do it in under ten minutes at a convention while moderately hung over and/or lacking in sleep? Without a shelf-load of product? No? Fuggedaboutit.

Actually, having had haircuts quite similar to that, it's really not that much effort at all, and because it's so short, yeah, it can easily be done in ten minutes...

Ah ha! I have succeeded in passing off the Compulsive Hair Disorder to one of its old favorites!

And all it took was cutting another five inches off my hair and putting in "celtic copper" highlights. :)

Though, I noticed how after two visits to the salon to complete that process, none of the homework I was avoiding was magically done.

if you feel like obsessing over hair you could find a cut that would work well for me - other than skinhead...
