totally tired

I am totally tired and totally without brain. It was lovely out this morning, so I took myself on a walk down into Cobh town and took some pictures, then trundled back home, where I proceeded to do none of the things I'd meant to today. Well, no, that's not true, I did finally make marshmallow creme so I can make fudge for a couple people. And

My kids (and myself and wife) love Fota. One year we ended up being surrounded by Ring Tailed Lemurs - who were taking food from our hands. Of course this is discouraged as they can bite. Funny thing, in Fota the lemurs roam free (like most of the animals), but in Dublin Zoo, they are behind a fence.

Fota membership is way cool. I love taking our daughter there, even if she's mostly interested in the swings and climbing frame. I particularly enjoying watching the ring-tailed lemurs outthink and outmaneouvre young Homo Sapiens primates. Larger brains aren't always a winner.

The arboretum is spectacular too, and has some really beautiful specimen trees. It's one of our favourite places for a picnic near Cork.
