Some days I think about expatriating, then I realize that the only place that would take me is Israel, and while I love the country and many of the people, oh HELL no, until they do a clean sweep of the current ruling government and all their cronies...

I'm about to embark on Year One in the UK, and people are asking when I'm coming back before I've even left :P (The answer is "ask us again in two years.")

I have lived in upstate NY all my life (barring one summer in North Carolina best not spoken of) and in my current section of it since 1980. I keep telling myself that I should go somewhere else, but nowhere has really appealed. Of course, then you bought the manor house...
