TV on DVD: s3 Arrow: If I were stronger, I would stop watching Arrow now.

It’s not that I don’t like it. I *do* like Arrow; I’ve liked it from the start. I have issues with all the secret-keeping (issues which paid off in spades this season, actually, especially at the end), but I really like it and normally I’d be happy to watch it through five ( Read more... )

Yeah, I was really bummed by what they did to Chloe, who was a great character and much better for Clark than Lois (YMMV) -- and that's why I wouldn't watch either Arrow or Flash.

Fool me once, you know....

They've said that Arrow will only last for 5 seasons.

Personally, I hate Ollicity. I think Steven & Emily have ZERO romantic chemistry, and it's like watching a brother & sister make out. It gives me the creeps. She had a thousand times more chemistry with Barry & Ray Palmer.

I think you're taking this a bit too much to heart! Ollie and Dinah, in the comics, married and got divorced and got back together, if I recall. (And on the TV show, Dinah is her mother. Although if I recall, both daughters have "Dinah" as a middle name.) Canon changes; these days, Lois Lane is on the outs with Supes while he plays with Wonder Woman. I think that's distressing, but then the comics aren't for old-timers like me. They're mixing it up. I've got to say, though, the DC movies have been less than thrilling. The TV shows (at least the ones by Greg Berlanti), on the other hand, have worked...so far. Let's see how Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow work out.

As for Felicity...well, if you remember Smallville (and if you've forced it out of your mind, no one can blame you), Lois Lane flirted with that version of Oliver Queen; Arthur Curry (aka Aquaman); and then, finally, Clark. I was afraid of who else they were going to drag out of the books.

Plus there's who Oliver actually ended up with on Smallville.
