So I’ve been looking into what’s necessary for submitting self-published books to major review sites (RT, PW, etc) and the answer is primarily “a long lead time.” Several months. Four, for RT, ideally four but 3 is bearable, for PW.

I'm randomly curious. Do you find it more stressful to have deadlines due to backers or traditional publishers? Or is it less? Or differently stressful?

It's...actually, now that I've got all the production team lined up and there's no additional stress wondering how I'm going to manage copy edits (or whatever) it's actually pretty much the same. I feel equal responsibility toward the deadline, regardless of for whom it is set, it seems. :)
