I saw the eclipse!

It was significantly cloudy in Dublin at Solar Eclipse time and I had no real hope of seeing it. In fact, it was *raining* lightly, but I was still out and about and keeping an eye on the sky. My phone literally shut itself off when I tried to take a picture, it was so low on battery. :)

I got to watch the eclipse through a DVD I had lying around and it was marvellous. Plenty of people outside the science building where I work stopped to watch the event but many more just went about their business, looking down. I just don't understand that. There's a whole universe above your head. Look up!
