I love this to bits, all the nods to canon and the great, great play between Fraser and RayK. You show how RayK is breaking through Fraser's defenses so naturally, and at the same time how Fraser is unintentionally working his way under RayK's skin.
Not read the second part yet, but I'm betting RayK is undercover...I just wonder if RayV is as well? You've set up a well layered plot here, just complex enough to be giving me too much to work with. *gnaws on plot* hmmmm....

It was great fun finding places to work in canon - glad you enjoyed it. And that the evolution of their relationship feels natural - it was a concern for me that it not feel *too* sudden.
And you have no idea how gleeful I am to read the words "well layered plot" in reference to something I've written. I don't think of plot as a strength of mine, so this was wonderful.
